I wish I had figured out that you had a UEI remote earlier.

We would like to put together an upgrade for the next person who comes with the tedelex unit. Can you tell us what setup code you used?
Can you learn all the rest of the codes?

This is decoding as a Pioneer, but its actually a NEC1 with a 40mhz

This looks a lot like UEI code tv/0872 except the frequency is a little too high.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

It could be that learning on the PSP device doesn't actually measure frequency, but only the durations and you have to input the frequency manually. I have a home automation controller like that. In that case, it is very likely to be NEC1 at the more usual 38 KHz.

There should be a setup code blink back sequence for the Pace remote.

The codes that you posted (NEC2 0.238) closely match the TV/0872 setup code (NEC1 0.238) . This setup code uses OBC 25 for the MUTE button, which matches the code you posted for "colour setup", could this be a dual purpose button?

Here are some extra codes that might be useful...

OBC / Function
012 = PREV
013 = INPUT
017 = [BUTTON134]
025 = MUTE
026 = SLEEP
027 = INFO
070 = PIP
073 = SKIP-REV
075 = SKIP-FWD
088 = +100
089 = MOVE
091 = SWAP

It might be easier if you could use the Pace remote to do an EFC search, than for one of us to translate all 256 possible keycodes to pronto hex. We can do that, but matching them up with what they do, might be a lot of work.

To do an EFC search, you briefly press the setup or magic button and then enter the 5 digits. When press the 5th digit of the EFC, it will send that code and you can see if and how the TV responds. Start with 00000 and continue through 00255. You may find hidden functions you didn't know that you had. Once you have a list of EFCs that work, those can be translated into pronto hex.

Here's a list of likely EFCs and their functions from the lookup tool:

num 0 055
num 1 185
num 2 183
num 3 187
num 4 180
num 5 184
num 6 182
num 7 186
num 8 053
num 9 057
Volume + 120
Volume - 118
Mute 249
CH+ 123
CH- 116
Power 181
Arrow_Down 116
Arrow_Left 118
Arrow_Right 120
Arrow_Up 123
Input/Source 056
Format 16:9 235
Format 16:9 122
Last/Prev Ch 052
100+ 229
Sleep 247
Info/Display 251
PIP On/Off 166
PIP Move 233
PIP Swap 235
PIP Ch+ 043
PIP Ch- 041
Skip + 056
Skip + 043
Skip - 041
CC 233
Menu 248
Settings 248
Teletext On 058

And here's mute from the table, EFC 249 translated to pronto hex:

URC-39895 signature 30483048 Pace PVR doesn't have a TV/0902(10902) setup code. It does have a CBL/1902(01902 Protocol ID 011B). Perhaps you blinked back the CBL device mode setup code? No, Code blink back is correct as it adds 30d to the setup code. Code is really 00872.

That's OBC 25, which matches the "colour system" code that he posted.

I don't think that the URC22B is a UEI made device. So, most people here, won't know how to do anything with it.

Instead of doing an EFC search with the Pace STB remote, if you'd rather have all possible pronto hex codes and run through those on the PSP, I can post those.

Ok, I've uploaded a file containing all 256 pronto hex codes for NEC1 device 0.238. Some of these you already know about, but others you'll have to sift through to find which are useful and which are not.

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=9738

When you're done sorting it out, do let us know which codes are for which functions so that we can create a JP1 upgrade that will be available in the future. It will also be included in the lookup tool so that those not using JP1 remotes, will be able to make use of the info.

I had asked about the pace remote a long time ago. I think some of the pace remotes have an offset of 30. If so, this would be 872 which is the Nec1 0.238 ...
