I am currently using the 7562 extender to switch different devices to the device keys so I can control different rooms by just pressing A,B,C or D.
I have certain macros set up which will work various viewing modes in one room, but not another. Is there any way a macro can be set to run ONLY if a certain device key is active AND that device is setup up to a specific code.
ie VCR can toggle between 0123, 0456, and 0789 but I only want the macro to run if VCR is selected and the key is currently controlling device 0456.

You can use the DSM (Device Specific Macro) to bind a macro to a key within a device. This you can find in the jp1 file area for special protocols.
I am not sure about doing it based on what device code is currently active. I am not sure but if there is a ToadTog available for the 7562 that would do it. Check through the file area for ToadTog and key filter to see if one is available.
