bin for Hikari TV PM-700

bin for Hikari TV PM-700

Hi, I have a Slingbox PRO hooked up in Japan. Recently I changed TV provider to Hikari TV and they have set me up with PM-700 converter box. According to the list from Sling Media Japan the PM-700 is one of the compliant unit. But the remote code does not show up in the list. Sling Media Japan will not help since they do not support the PRO.

Does anyone know where I can get the bin for Hikari TV PM-700?
OEM is Sumitomo Electronics, but I could not find any bin for it either.

Can't find any trace of a Sumitomo PM-700, but I did find that they 'badge' the SA 4250 box, so it might be worth trying this one :

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried the custom SA 4250 bin, but it did not work

The manufacture on the unit is Hikari TV model is PM-700 (Picture Mate 700) and it is manufactured by Sumitomo Electronics is what I read on a Japanese site. I was definitely work a shot.

It exist somewhere since Hirkari PM-700 is supported on the HD PRO models.

Hopefully someone can help.

Alan, I have meager information on the Sumitomo cable box using UEI code Cable/1500 which is a Nec1 172 but I don't have the EFC's for the various buttons.

The only upgrade we have that uses Nec1 172 would be the channel master in the home automation section, which might be related.

Alan, can this user use the learning process that you slingbox guys have, or isn't his slingbox a candidate.

edit, OBC's associated with CBL/1500 are
0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 for the numbers
28 is the power.
16,17,12 and 74 are also associated with the upgrade, but I don't know which keys they go to.

Thanks again for your help. I can not load the C2010 IR code, "Slingbox cannot load the IR code you selected. ...." , message appears. I checked it twice to make sure it is in the correct file.

The unit that I have is PRO and not PRO-HD if it make a difference in installing the code.

No, the box is irrelevant. But that was my fault, I didn't do the build properly. I've updated it, so try again.

Odd. Although I am exporting NEC1, 172 when I try and import the BIN file back into Remotemaster it is decoding as NECx2, 172.172

Is that logical ?

File up dated again anyway just to be sure.

The updated file looks good, I see NEC1 dev 172 and there are functions. I don't see NECx2 172.172, so that's probably something funky on your end. What fixed data do you see? It should be "00 CA CA" (though the 3rd byte is irrelevant as it's ignored when the first byte is "00").

Its probably something to do with the special sling nec1 that alan uses for the not repeating signals.

Just tried it. No go. Power button did not turn on or off the cable box.

nikushima, sorry that didn't work out. There is a possibilty that you can learn your signals.

as alan saind I think the Pro supports learning so try http://remotes.slingbox.com

No, I never use that unless unless someone reports 'double-skipping'. So this was using a standard NEC1.
