wd live tv plus - arrow button moves 2 positions in Netflix

Post by stjchan »

Hello,

I've connected my WD TV Live Plus to my slingbox AV (PL chip). I've tried using two different BIN files for this device from this forum. One was:

another was created by Alan Richey.

Both work great except when you go into the Netflix app. In Netflix, I'm unable to move the selection only one position using the arrow buttons(up/down/left or right). It always moves 2 positions.

I created my own BIN files and used both the NEC1 and NEC2 protocols (IR Scope detects NEC1). The same problem is experienced with both.

Is it possible to change the arrow keys so that they don't repeat like they're being held down? I noticed that even using the actual remote while in Netflix, it's pretty sensitive to the button being held down and you really have to make a conscious effort to give the button a quick push to prevent moving more than a single position.

I've uploaded the ict file I got from measuring both the remote and the slingbox blaster (with the WD Live TV BIN installed). Also included are the exported signals from the ict files and the remote master file I created.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I didn't need your files, as this is a known problem. For some odd reason Sling have set the repeat function to 2 or 3, even though they don't support a 'long-press' of a button.

I've tweaked the files to set the Repeat to zero (ongoing thanks to Robman for the way to do it).

Hi,

Yep, that's it. Thanks for doing that and for doing it so quickly!
