15-2116ex2 Pause Not Functioning

Post by cearnsdorff »

I am having trouble getting the pause function to work on my 15-2116 remote. I am using the following settings for the pause:

Key Moves->
Bound - TV Bound Key - pause Device - db-11 Device Type - MISC Setup - 0533 Hex Cmd - $F4 EFC - 109

Macro->
Bound Key: TV

Macro Definition->
DEV_CBL
phantom1
DEV_TV
Play {Discrete Power On Mapped here for Sony TV 0000}
DEV_AUD
SHIFT-Power {Discrete Power for AV RCVR}
2
DEV_TV
pause {This is the pause command that is not functioning!!}
xs_TV {
Dev_CBL
SET_LCD

I have successfully used the pause on a URC 8810w with a Hex cmd of 6 (Obviously with a different extender) using the same A/V equipment. On the 15-2116 I started with a setting of 6 and increased it to the above with no effect whatsoever. I have tried key moving it to the SWAP button as a simple command string to choose the TV perform a channel up, pause, and perform a channel down. No matter what the hex setting it had no effect.

Also, I can't seem to use the fwd, ffwd, rev,frev buttons on the remote when I key move functions there.

Could someone tell me either what I am doing wrong or other?

Thanks! :?

On your pause macro the device type should be MISC device code of 1104

Without more detail on the fwd, ffwd etc keymoves I don't know that to suggest.

The Pause protocol packaged w/ the extender pauses for a very short time. Try bumping up the pause increment. If that doesn't work , if you go to the special protocols section and use that version of the Pause protocol, you will probably be fine.

I didn't see any effect by increasing the pause time. However, by using it multiple times I did get the desired effect. I haven't tried the pause protocol but it would probably be more efficient.

I listed the MISC device code incorrectly in the posting and it was set on 1104 :oops: .

I will post a seperate listing for the other keys I am having problems with.

Thanks for the input!!
