Is this remote a learning remote or does it have to have the EEPROM/Connector added?

I know there is a section in the Yahoo files which answers my question, but I cannot access the groups at the moment (all day in fact Evil or Very Mad )

Cheers in advance for any info

Dave

The Topline 8 is a JP1 capable remote that comes with the 6-pin JP1 connector already added, but it's not a learning remote.

Also, just FYI, it uses the Mitsubishi 740 processor, just like the American "Producer 8" remotes, rather than the Samsung S3C8 which is the MCU of choice for all of the current remotes.

Thanks Rob and Nils,
As it uses a different processor, is there going to be any significant difference in using KM/IR/RM (I suspect not), but more importantly, could I use the ToadTog?

btw current remote is 7562

I know this is a very ambiguous request but I have been a fan of the 7560/2 since I first bought one 18 months ago and I am wary of change

Nope. Using KM/IR/RM should be the same.

Unfortuntately, ToadTog isn't currently available for any of the 740 remotes.
