When I double clicked on your link, I moved the 2 filies as instructed. Should I have done more.
The Assistant is not seeing the 2 BIN files. Are you REALLY sure they are in the right folder ? Are you REALLY sure you are typing in the right code (case-sensitive) ?

It isn't supposed to, why do you think it might ?

That address is part of Sling's product page, why did you go there ?

1. There are a total of 4 files in the SBAV directory. They are:
SBAV-PL.sbav
SBAV-RV-sbav
V2010_PL.bin
V2010_PL.bin

2. How do you activate the remote after clicking on watch after you complete the inputs needed>

3. I went to www.slingplayer.com because that is where I first stated using Sling. It works, I can watch TV, the TV Guide appears as does a remote on the side.

I hope that is a typing error and one of the 4 files is the RV BIN file ?

How old is your Slingbox ? What type is it ?

What version of Slingplayer are you using ?

I am surprised you get that on that page, no-one else does. We all use http://watch.slingbox.com

The other file isV2010_RV.bin

I use the following to get to the Assistant:

Slingplayer Version 2.04.4.522

I have Vista as my operating system.

The SlingBox Solo was purchased 08/27/09 from Best Buy.
Model Number SB260-100
SN R2708120145A

www.slingplayer.com takes you to www.slingmedia.com which offers you a consumers link or a buisness link. Under the consumers link is a ling to www.watch.slingbox.com/watch/sling_player

I can think of no other reason why that message should appear.

I'm clutching at straws now but I could try setting it. Just PM me your Finder Id and admin password.

OK, I am having to officially give up on this one. Working through PMs and accessing the Slingbox directly I've tried absolutely everything I know and nothing seems to work.

Sorry

Did you see my private message? The remote is now working. The TV Guide does not work but the T V and the Remote and the DVR all work.
Code 33 did it.

Thank you.

I misread it, I thought you weren't getting any results. So is it just the Guide button not working ?

That is correct, only the TV guide is not working. You can click on a channel and it appears above the TV just like the remote but it does NOT
change the station. The Code I set it on is Code 33 if that means anything. Thanks for your patience and all of your help.

So just to be clear, you are *not* saying that the TV-GUIDE *button* is not working, you are saying that the TV-GUIDE button does indeed bring up the Channel Guide, but when you select a channel from the guide, it doesn't really get selected. Is that correct?

You might want to clarify the statement "You can click on a channel and it appears above the TV just like the remote" because I have no idea what it means.

This is to correct my prior post regarding the TV Guide. The Guide button works fine. You click it and you get the TV Guide. You read the Guide
and decide you would like to view what is on Channel 8. You click on the program and a response pops up saying changing to Channel 8. If you look at the TV, at the top, the new channel appears but the channel does NOT change. The Guide it self is fine, the ability to change channels using the guide does NOT work. Hope that is clear.

It seems clear but I don't think there is anything i can do. What happens if you change channel just using the numbers ? How do you seelct channels above 9 ? (i.e do you have to press Enter)

To change to any channel including 1-9 or 12-99 I hit the number key and then the "last" button below the number 7 is the enter key. It works for me. The button is actually labeled "last".

Just fyi, the Red and Green buttons are hi-lighted but I don't know what for. I don't need them but they are probably a short cut for something.
