I am using the cable with the JP1 adapter. The cable works -- I can download from the remotes (RS15-2117 and URC 9910). But when I try to upoad I consistantly get the error message: "division by zero".
Any suggestions about what to do?

Bill, I see that you've been a member for 5 years, so I assume you've done this before. What's changed?
Are you using the latest versions of the software?

New USB Cable
I have a new PC and am now using Tommy Tyler USB cable with the JP1 adapter. I have succesfully used the cable (without adapter) with a URC 10820 JP1.2 remote. With the adapter on a JP1 remote I can download from the remote, but when I upload the same file to the remote I get the "division by zero" message. I am using IR version 8.02

Re: New USB Cable
I've always found that making sure my jp1 tools were up to date was a good first step in resolving problems. Version IR 8.03 might have corrected this. Also. you might want to throw in some details about your operating system. Win7? 64bit?billmunson wrote:I have a new PC and am now using Tommy Tyler USB cable with the JP1 adapter. Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Well, first things first, you should get the latest 8.03 version of IR, and the latest RDFs. Then, if the problem persists, post a copy of the IR file that you have downloaded from the remote so we can check if there's anything wrong with it.
