10820N + Yamaha Gap Code Problm

Post by robsee »

Hi,

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! A while ago we got the gap code protocol upgrade working for my RX-465 on a 10820B00. I'm now trying to replicate the same thing on a 10820N, but I'm running into problems. Using the file that I uploaded to http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7626 on the 10820B00, the buttons work as expected. When I use the same file on the 10820N (after changing the remote type in KM) only buttons 1-3 and Enter work, the rest don't respond at all when pressed. I am using the 10820N extender. I also tried switching to the new NEC 4DEV Yamaha Combo, and defining HDMI 1-4 as OBC 071,074,077,080 with pair NEC of 1 1 y1. Again only 1-3 work, 4 is silently ignored by the remote (the power button doesn't light on press.) Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
-Rob

Please ignore. I realized from reading the other 10820N threads that my problem was that I was trying with the JP1 cable still plugged in.
