I remembered that Dave did something with FAV along toad tog, but couldn't reproduce and couldn't find. So I used search. Mere 216 hits. Lucky me, hit this Atlas (still too terrified of its extender to code it) and here it was, hurrayvickyg2003 wrote:Dave you have NO IDEA how hard I looked for that post and couldn't find it!

I have no knowledge of the 6131, and hope to be done with that dad-blank-it S3C8 language when I finish current extender.ElizabethD wrote:Vicky, in 7800 I would like to use another set of bits so a free register would be great for that. You wouldn't know of a free one in 6131 by any chance?
I'm really glad you unearthed Dave's algorithm. I was 99% sure it was his post, but I've looked and looked and haven't been able to find it.

I think we should isolate my 6131 issues to a separate thread.

I can't make it work yet.
Parts work.
The whole thing doesn't.
I moved inputs from shift-numbers to xshift transport buttons. Those work.
I retained, I THINK, Dave's total scheme, for 5 inputs.
Xshift-numbers work switching inputs nicely.
But the macro on MENU:X_AUD,Shift-3, or a macro AUD/MENU=DSM: X_AUD,Shift-3 does not send any IR signals. What might I be doing wrong?

Vicky, did you have something like this in mind?vickyg2003 wrote:Elizabeth, if you need ToadTogs and this FAV thingy on the 7800, there are some registers that you can use for a secondary ToadTog protocol.

I just dusted it off from a backup drive. I think it was written by Grovestein but I'm not sure. Perhaps John Fine. I think it was for an early extender 1994.

No, I had something bigger and clumsier in mind.
This is a cool solution to add 16 bits of toad tog registers.
