Remote Bin code for Sony TV KDL-26V4000 required.

Post by deepcar »

Hi everyone. Sorry to be a pain but I desparately need the code for this TV as the TV is in Scotland and it may be a month till I can get there. My 94 year old mother is having trouble changing channels. I would like to help if I can!
Thanks for your time.

This one is for the KDL-40V4000 but should work. Let me know if it needs any changes

Hello Alan and thanks for trying to help.
Unfortunately it didn't work. I have a network camera in the living room and can see that the IR transmitter bits are in the right place. I phoned my mum to get her to put the TV on to check if some of the keys would work but she couldn't even put the TV on (She once pushed the telephone number keys when she was supposed to be changing channels). The TV has power as I hid the plug in an extension lead under the furniture to stop her pulling the plug out.
thanks again Alan

I just did a proper check and the 26V4000 definitely uses the same set of codes as the 40V4000 so the problem must be at your end. I guess your Mom can't do the digital camera check ? :)

Thanks for checking Alan. I guess my Mum will have to do without her football for a few weeks (A female soccer fanatic at 94!).
Thanks for your help.
