15-2137 Kameleon and modem upgrades

Hey, hey, hey! I'm getting expected responses w/ that 2nd batch of codes.

I found a post that I thought told me how to program those codes to the specific buttons, but I'm either not doing something right, or the instructions don't apply for the 15-2137:

Assign Advanced Code 994 - EFC (one device mode)

Can I assign those EFCs directly to the buttons I want, keeping in mind that the only "interface" I have is one way thru WAV files or pressing keys on the remote?

try the following:

1. press and hold P for two blinks
2. press OTHER
3. enter 9-9-4
4. press the DEVICE key
5. press P for one blink
6. enter advanced code
7. pick a key

I thought the modem upgrade capability was awesome & was really disappointed to find that I couldn't do it any more.

HiFi-Remote user community to the rescue & this thing is back to being awsome.. The 15-2137 uses the 5 digit EFCs.

I didn't find that sequence of instructions in my user manual, but I'm going to write them down. Any other undocumented features/procedures I might want to make note of?
