I am using a Atlas 1056 with extender 2.10. After some time or unknown key press the backlight feature is disabled. I have tried three different 1056 remotes so I don’t think it is a hardware problem. The IR file (with backlight no longer enabled is here

Am I doing something wrong? _________________ Jim Anderson |

yea, I've noticed this as well. It's been one of the things that I wanted to try to chase down but I haven't had time.
The only work-around solution is to make sure that you have a key programmed (or the long-setup option) that turns it back on. But something's clobbering the flag that I set to tell the remote to keep it on and I've not been able to figure out what! _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |

How do you program a key to enable or toggle backlight enable? _________________ Jim Anderson |

There are two ways to toggle the backlight setting:
First, there is a setting in IR that determines what a long-press of setup will do. The options are either deactivate the extender or toggle the backlight (on the 1056 only)
Second, the backlight toggle is included as a special protocol that you can assign a keymove to. but you assign a key to that protocol and it will either toggle or force on/off the backlight setting.
Both of these are in the readme that is distributed with the extender. _________________ this JP1 stuff is a sickness! |
