I'm looking for the slingbox code for the KabelBW remote (Germany).
STB Model: HUMAX iHD-FOX C
The remote is from ruwido, protocol is r-map.
Here is the user manual of the box:
http://www.kabelbw.de/kabelbw/cms/downloads/Bedienungsanleitungen/Bedienungsanleitung_iHDFOXC.pdf
Is it possible to get this protocol/remote to work with slingbox?
SOLUTION:(edited 03/12/2012)

This allows the use of RMIR directly, without the need for a manual protocol, and accepts the natural OBCs. It uses the UEI executor, and seems to send IR signals identical to the learns eferz obtained from his Harmony.
Here's the RMDU file (for a RCA RCRP05B--I don't own a Slingbox). Of course this RMDU file won't load unless the above protocols.ini and class file have been incorporated. |
I installed BitExpander into RemoteMaster.jar (1.5r) and the respective protocol.ini excerpt. Transcribed your RMDU for the RCRP05B to the Slingbox and exported its bin files. The following files are referenced below.
BIN file Instructions.

Note: this protocol has been added to the latest versions of RMIR (2.02) and DecodeIR (2.44) as the "Humax 4Phase" protocol. |

The attached file is not working with my KabelBW Box. The STB is not reacting on commands i send with your custom remote!
I guess this KabelBW STB is a special version of the Humax iCord HD.
I want to control my Humax STB with my Slingbox when i'm away! |

That Custom Remote is definitely the right one. Have you checked your IR Blasters are actually firing when you tap a button on the virtual remote ? (watch through a digital camera, try with a real remote first so you know what you are looking for) |

Thanks for you support.
I made a mistake, sorry i posted the wrong STB model.
The receiver i have is a iHD-FOX C and not the HUMAX PDR iCord HD, i have no idea how i came to iCord...?!
The posted user manual (my first post) points to the right box + file and also says iHD-FOX C
Is there a custom remote available? |

OK, I loaded that model on my Harmony and learnt some codes, but they are coming up with <unknown> protocol.
You will need one of the resident experts on the forum to check the signals to see if they can figure it out.
I exported 4 signals in UE1 format but I suspect that won't be enough, so if someone is willing to help, just tell me what you need. The UE1 signals are:

Wow, that protocol's a mess, there's a whole bunch of changes going on there. Al, could you do me a favor and learn the same button several times in a row please. I'd like to try to get an idea of which changes are just fluctuations in the learns and which ones are supposed to be there. _________________ Rob

I built a working remote control for my Humax iHD Fox-C + Slingbox on http://betaremotes.slingbox.com/
Unfortunately there's a too long delay when I'm typing more than one digit. So I can not switch to a channel > 9 using the numeric keypad.
So I still use my old Diginova 2 PNK for the Slingbox (which is much more comfortable at all). My Humax runs when I'm at home.

Well post your bin here, so we can take a look at it and see if we can fix the delay. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Unfortunately that site doesn't produce a BIN file, it produce a Sling-specific file with an LRZ extension. We are trying to decipher it, so far with no success. However it appears to use a completely different system as you can allocate each button to a different device.

Since the keypresses seem to have different size frames, would that mean that this is phase encoded too?
I remember once you said that UEI has a limit in how many different timing pairs it can use, do you think we should be using ICT timing data instead of UEI learns? Alan is using a widget. When I had perfectly good data in IRScope s from my XMP, when I used the export to UEI learns, the signal that my remote shot back out was not a good XMP signal. I think with a signal this weird we should be working with all the data so we don't go down the wrong road. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

I would have been happy to see the raw ICT file too.
The variable length has made me look at the possibility of it being bi-phase too, and I've also tried looking at it as each pair only having one time, something like...
1 = +150 -0
0 = +0 -150
... but I haven't found the right time pairs yet.
Here's an ICT file for this STB:

[EDIT - 11/01/2010]I have split the IRScope discussion off to here:
