5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? No
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? n/a
I am a newbie and only have the DVD player. I have researched and the original remote was a Samsung AH59-01778J. I am not sure if that helps. I have read through some of the docs for beginners and am trying to pick up the vernacular and concepts. Thank You for your patience!!!

The JP1 lookup tool shows 2 possibilities for Samsung Home Theater in a Box systems. Setup code 1932 and 1979. Both of those are using the same protocol, but probably have some minor differences in key assignments. Unfortunately neither of those setup codes are in the 8910. So, you will have to do create your own device via RM or IR. From the lookup tool, it's necx2 protocol with device 67 and subdevice 83.

All of the upgrade files for Samsung HTs in the Combo Audio Systems folder use the same protocol and device codes, so my guess is that any one of them will work for you. _________________ Rob

Thank You for your responses! I was able to load the file Samsung-HT-DM550.txt into IR. I loaded it into my remote. Alas, some of the keys do not necessarily work.
I had started by loading Samsung HT-DL200P-1295.txt into IR and my remote. Pressing the play button caused the tray to eject.
I apologize for the newbie question (please point me to the proper documentation if applicable). Where can I get the code to eject from the 1295 TXT file and put it into the 550 TXT file to create a TX75 TXT file?
Also, once I get the settings working, can I submit it to someone to check? Then post it to the file section?
Again, Thank You for your assistance!!!

Did you select the URC-8910? Keys can scramble if you missed that step.

You just post it into the file section in the category it belongs in. This is a great way to give back to the forum. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
