Vu+ Duo Satellite Receiver
Hi
Has anyone set up the Vu Plus Duo with a slingbox?
Mine streams from Duo absolutely fine, but the standard sling web-remote does not control the Duo.
Is there a sticky on here explaining the way to "teach" my Slingbox the Duo remote signals?
Cheers in advance, D
(ps - where exactly on the front of the Duo is the Remote Infrared Receiver?)
cheers

Bad news. It wasn't the server, it was the actual Vu+Duo update itself. It appears to be corrupted. I have left a message on the Logitech forum to see if I can get it fixed.
Meanwhile check out http://betaremotes.slingbox.com/ that might work for you.

Vu Plus Duo Few questions
Hi everyone,
I just bought an Ir Widget from Tommy Tyler.
I used IrScope and captured all buttons on the remote. I now have an ict file for each button.
When i was capturing the button signals i kept pressing each button untill the waveform appeared. After every button i pressed capture again. Is this the correct way?
What do i do next? I downloaded RemoteMaster but do not know how to start or install it.
I did read both pdf's but really don't understand how to go on from this.
thx

You press CAPTURE on the widget software first, then you press and hold the remote button.
Once you've created an ICT file that has the signals for all the buttons on your remote, along with Notes to show which button each signal is for, load a copy of it to the Diagnosis Area folder, in the file section, and one of us will take a look.

That file is a zip file containing 42 separate ict files. IRScope lets you create a single ict file for the whole remote.
I have created the following file as an example, but I only had time to include the first 6 buttons...
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=8603
This device uses the MCE protocol with a device code of 38.82.
I'm not familiar with how MCE was implemented in RM, so I'm only guessing here, but I think you enter 38 as the device code and 82 as as the OEM2 code. Hopefully somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

Rob: This user has 'shot gunned' his problem all over the Internet and has at least 4 'experts' working for him, duplicating their efforts. I suggest you don't spend any more time here and we will deal with his problem at http://answers.slingbox.com/thread/2675?tstart=0 and post the final result back here.

How did you end up with RC6-6-32 and device codes 128, 21158 ?

'Eferz' found it here http://www.vuplus-support.com/wbb2/thre ... stid=41440
You know more than me but I guess this is equivalent to the MCE 38.82 ?
If it hadn't worked I was going to try that MCE but it did work so I left well alone

Yup, I just tried entering both protocols/device codes into RM and I get the same fixed data. So I guess that confirms that the sub-device code returned from DecodeIR really is the confusingly named OEM2 code in RM.
I'll have to keep that in mind when I get around to cleaning up all the upgrades that use the $012A executor.
