No need. Once you have run the video setup for a specific input (S-Video, composite...) the remote codes are downloaded to the Slingbox and you do not need to leave the C2010 BIN file in the \SBAV\ folder, it is not used again.
So, assuming you mean that you are putting the new device onto another input from the current one just delete the old BIN files and use the new ones.

Alan, you know that I don't understand this whole slingbox thing, but it sounds to me like you might have given some bum advice here.
If this was a remote, instead of slingbox, and we added a new C2010, the remote wouldn't ever find the new c2010 it would always use the original C2010.
If Papa1973 already has a C2010 added to his slingbox, doesn't the new setup code need to be changed in order for it not to conflict with the setup code that is already associated with that number? In other words, doesn't the setup code need to be changes to C2011 and a new bin file need to be created in order for both setup codes to happily cohabitate?

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

No, the Slingboxes work differently to your remotes. The Slingbox has 3 possible video inputs, S-Video, composite video and component video and each one can take a different device and has an area of memory devoted to that input/device combination.
So let's assume, for example, that you have Cable A device connected through the composite input and Cable B connected through the S-video input. When you run the video setup and specify the composite input it asks you for the name of a device. If Cable A is supported by Slingmedia the remote codes are downloaded from their server and installed in the area of memory devoted to the composite input. If the device isn't supported then you have the option of putting a BIN file on your PC and then selecting that file. Then the Cable A remote codes from that BIN file are installed in the area of memory in the Slingbox instead.
But here is the important part. Once you have completed the setup for the composite input the BIN file is no longer used and can be deleted from the PC. It is ONLY used as a temporary storage medium to get the codes downloaded into the Slingbox.
So if you now re-run the setup and select the S-Video input and run the whole procedure for Cable B, then it will either get the codes from Slingmedia or from the brand new BIN file you have put on the PC.
Does that make sense ? It all hinges on the fact that the upgrade BIN file is not used once the contents have been installed on the Slingbox.

Hi all,
so the codes are working but as assumed there is is a mess with second box which is also configured as a cablebox.
After installing the zaaptv, the 1st device (Composite) is not working (Telekom MR100), after reinstalling the codes for MR 100, zaaptv is not working (S-Video). Both devices are assigned as cable boxes.
Alan, is it possible to define the zaaptv device as a dvdplayer or what else can lead to this mix?
The good thing is that the codes are working
Thx,
Petros

OK, that doesn't make any sense to me, as changing the S-Video device should never affect the composite input but I guess I will have to give up
I've changed the Zaaptv to a DVR and for good measure changed the code to 2011

OK ?
