POPCORN Hour C200

Post by RedStar73 »

Hi,
I ve found this codes:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=8445
of popcorn Hour A110, and I can confirm that, they are working great with the C200, but i ve got a V2010 file, and i already have another device with this code, so when i use the new V2010 file, i cant control the other device anymore :(
i tried just to rename the popcorn V2010(to V2000 or Y2010) file, but it did not work :(, is there are any way to edit the popcorn file, and change its name ??
and can anybody tell me where to download the new file ?

many thanks in Advance

You can't just rename a Slingbox bin file, as the code number is encoded in the data too, so you would need to create a fresh bin file yourself using RM.

Here's the source upgrade file:

Actually you didn't need to do that. The BIN file only needs to be in the \SBAV\ folder while you run the video setup. During that process the contents of the BIN file are downloaded to the Slingbox and when complete the BIN file can be deleted. In your case all you needed to do was overwrite the old BIN file with the new one.

I tried that, but somehow, it overwrite the old file on my slingbox, thats mean after overwriting the bin file in the SBAV Folder, i could not control my other device ??

He wants to control two different devices using the same Slingbox and he has two bin files that previously had the same name (and therefore, the same setup code number, V2010). How could he possibly load the 2nd code in without having it overlay the first code, without changing the code number?

I assume he is configuring a different input for another device. Suppose he has a Satellite box on the composite input and a different Satellite box on the S-Video input and I have produced Custom Remotes for both devices using S2010.

He runs the Video setup for the composite input and uses the first S2010. His concern was that the BIN file needed to stay there forever to be used. My point was that it is used only once and can then be discarded. So if he overwrote the BIN files with the second set of S2010s and then ran the video setup for the S-Video input then it would not affect the remote he had previously installed for the Composite input. That was safely residing in the Slingbox.

I guess I'm not familiar with the multi-input Slingboxes, all of the units that I have are single device units.

But either way, it's certainly less confusing to give the upgrades different code numbers.
