Are Radio Shack 15-2116 remotes available in Canada?

I currently have an OFA 8811 which I really like, but I don't like the backlight. It is my understanding thet Radio Shack has a similar model called 15-2116, but I can't find that model on the radioshack.ca website.

Does anyone know:

1) If the 2116 is indeed similar to the 8811 (4 macros and 4 Learning keys, etc)

2) If it's available in Canada

3) If the 2116 is not the equivalent model then what is?

The 2116 is very different than the 8811 with a very different button layout. The 2116 is an LCD remote similar to the URC 8910. It does not have the extra L1-4 or M1-4 but can learn to almost any button like the 8811.

2) If it's available in Canada

I am not sure but if it is it may be with a different number. Look at it on the US site and do a visual compare.

3) If the 2116 is not the equivalent model then what is?

Probably the RS 15-1994.

In the end you would be fine with the 2116 since it is very functional and easy to handle.

AFAIK, they were never made available in Canada. I saw 15-2102/3/4 in store and now they are on clearance and not available on-line. Go to radioshack.ca, enter 15-2104 in search field. On the right you'd see red box with "locate" button.

Thanks for the info. What OFA models are the 15-2102/3/4 equivalent to?

Do they have macro/learning keys?

Don't know nothing about these. You might want to take a look at:

Also, you can download RemoteChart file from Miscellaneous folder at Yahoo. From what I can see 2104 is pretty good remote with 6 devices instead of 8 and no LCD.
