Are you asking a question about those codes? Such as how to use them in a particular model of OneForAll remote and/or in a JP1 upgrade file?
If you're just supplying info that might be helpful to the next person who has that model and asks for help here, it is kind of an inconvenient format. It would be much more useful translated to a JP1 upgrade and posted in the file area.
If you're asking for help, you should make clearer what help you want.
BTW, to use that info in a OneForAll remote or JP1 upgrade, we would need to guess the protocol and the device code. For an LG TV I don't think those would be very hard to guess. It's always better to know a partially working standard setup code number and/or have a decoded learned signal to verify the protocol and device code. But it probably isn't necessary. |

You need a little more information. Does your manual also say:
Remote Control IR Code (NEC Format)
Output Waveform - single pulse, modilated with 37,917KHz signal at 455
Like it did in this thread?
If so then this gives us a few more codes that that thread didn't list, but they may already be in the LG master.
28 RETURN Remote control Button]
30 AV MODE Remote control Button
45 Q.MENU Remote control Button
4C - (Dash)/LIST Remote control Button
61 BLUE (l l) Remote control Button
63 YELLOW (G) Remote control Button
71 GREEN (A) Remote control Button
72 RED Remote control Button
79 RATIO Remote control Button
7E SIMPLINK Remote control Button
8E GG Remote control Button
8F FF Remote control Button
95 ENERGY SAVING Remote control Button
AA INFO Remote control Button
CC HDMI2 Discrete IR Code
CE HDMI1 Discrete IR Code
D4 COMPONENT2 Discrete IR Code
DA HDMI4 Discrete IR Code
E9 HDMI3 Discrete IR Code |

I think we would have had no trouble guessing it was some NEC format and close enough to the standard NEC modulation of 38KHz to not need further detail on that. So that info, even in the previous thread, didn't tell us more than we already knew.
Rob's upgrade linked from that previous thread was NEC1 protocol and device 4. (That would have taken me a few searches to find or guess, so thanks for finding that).
Rob's upgrade has a very long list of functions and I checked a few of the obscure ones against the ones listed in the first post of this thread, and they matched, which makes it near certain the model in this thread uses that same code set. |

I was trying to get an upgrade for my LG TV earlier and had downloaded Rob's upgrade earlier, which was working for my TV - Thanks to him for the work.
Since I found these codes, ( I am a novice and it will take me long time to create an upgrade) i just wanted to post them so that others can use it.
Eventually i will create an upgrade and test it and post in the file section.
Thanks for all the responses. This is a great forum. |

Hi,
Have an LG 42LH40. I found these codes on some other forums, which allows one to access various Service Menus, particularly useful to enable DVIX Playback via it's USB Port.
Does anyone know if it's possble to convert from either "pronto" or LIRC Raw codes, to something we can use with our JP1 capable remote?
From what I've been able to read, on newer North American Firmware, the service menu is generally disabled from the conventional menus, and ya apparently need a "Service Remote", to access it.
Would like to use my JP1 remote to do that, if possible.
Just not familiar with LIRC, or "pronto" remotes at all.

There are a number of tools to use to get pronto code, although I think all of them need to have these extra line spaces removed.
I used file->programs->IRTool. When installed in a place where it can find DecodeIR.dll, you can paste the information in and have a decode pop up.
EZ Adjust
0000 006D 0022 0002 0155 00AA 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0040 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 0015 05ED 0155 0055 0015 0E47
Nec1 4, OBC 255 EZ Adjust (EFC 18)
Nec1 4, OBC 251 In-Start (EFC 19)
Nec1 4, OBC 250 In-End (EFC 15)
Another cool tool to use to decode Pronto Hex would be IRScope. It will not only decode the file, it will also show you a graphical representation of what the signal looks like, and if it doesn't decode, you can always export the information to use as a UEI learn. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

excellent, thank you. I knew there had to be a way to get that to fly with JP1. Thanks for the education. Got that decode workin. Yeah, apparently that app doesn't like the Carriage Return/Line Feeds.
I'll try and add those codes to the LG Codes Rob posted a while ago...
That'll gimme somethin else to do with the JP1 later for sure...
And I'll pop in and report how it worked out.
BTW, In case anyone else ever needs it, here's what I'm playin with...

cool, I had to revive my old urc 6011, but i managed to modify the upgrade file rob had in the download section, for an LG 47LH40, to add those three functions. Got in to the so-called EZ-ADJ menu and activated the Movie Playback via USB function, following the instructions I linked to.
Neat little hack.
Thanks again for the help vicky...
On a side note, can anyone recommend a new JP1 compatible Remote?
Sumthin I could find in any ol electronics department.
Like I said had to revive my old URC 6011, it's on it's last leg. |

Like I said had to revive my old URC 6011, it's on it's last leg. | JP1 remotes are long gone, but JP1.3's are pretty common. 15-133, 134 , 135 at Radio Shack or the RCA RCRP05B at Walgreens and Best Buy are good ones. RCA's and Atlas OCAP's are really cheap on ebay. |

thanks mdave,
Picked up the RCA RCRP05B, from Walgreens.
They had a ton of 'em in case anyone's wonderin.
Since it's JP1.3, guessing I need a new cable 'eh?
So far it seems like it has everything I need stock though,
has code for the Pansat Sat Receiver as well. But of course eventually
I'll wanna be updating something.
Saw someone on Ebay had a URC 6011 pretty cheap.
Might go for that too, since I wouldn't need to build a new cable. |
