Is there a sticky somewhere showing us the status of the USB drivers for Windows 7 64 bit? It seems I saw one thread talking about it not working in the new Windows 7 64bit.
I have a USB cable and a URC 7800 Cinema 7 (EEPROM?) remote. I have been using Windows XP for years but will soon be replacing my PC with one running Windows 7 64bit.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks, Rob. Lots of reading here. A lot sure goes on in the background that I didn't know about, being a remote user....
Just to make sure I am clear and sure, to be able to program my Cinema 7 in the Windows 64 bit operating systems, I would only need...
1. A USB 'flash' based cable
2. Keven's small 'Eeprom' adapter to interface the cable to the Cinema 7
Is this correct?
Also, am I correct in that 3FG is trying to get the older (mine) USB cables to work with the older remotes (mine)?
Thanks again, Rob

I don't want to go into a lot of detail here in this thread as it would be best to keep the conversation in the other threads, but yes, you need 1 and 2 that you listed.
3FG is indeed trying to come up with a solution that would let you use an old JP1 (EEPROM) USB cable with a 64 bit OS, but we're not there yet, and there's no guarantee that what we're trying will work.
