Hi all,
Im hoping to receive some advice, for some reason my URC-7562 will not accept the upgrade code for my dreambox. It uploads the new upgrade data all the leds flash but when I download back from the remote the SAT code is stuck on 0847. I have performed a reset 981 I can programme other devices but not the sat.If I try and manually programme via magic key and enter 1237 the sat led performs 1 long flash at the end not like it should do with 2 short flashes.
Dont really know what else to try....have tried using the code from remote master and even keymaster both doing the same thing.Do I need to copy some code from my working dreambox remote and paste it in IR under adding new devices?
Thank you

Hi Rick, your symptoms would seem to indicate that your remote found an error in the e2 area and did a reset. There are all sorts of errors that can cause this. Its often easy to see if we could see the IR file that you are trying to upload. But since you didn't post your IR file and KM/RM file in the diagnosis area I can only guess.
Things to check.
Check the device type. If the upgrade number is 1237 but its not accepting it, typically its because the device type you are tyring to assign doesn't match the device type of the upgrade you created.
Also check to see tht you copied any required protocol.
If you don't find your error, post your IR file and your upgrade in the diagnosis area and post a LINK to those files in this thread. _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Are there other upgrades in the upgrade area that the remote does accept? If so, the problem is with the upgrade itself, if not, the problem is with the whole E2 area (ie, the remote is resetting like Vicky said).
If it's the upgrade, there are any number of possibilities (which we could easily spot if we saw your IR file). First, does the upgrade need a protocol upgrade that you forgot to copy over? Did you create the upgrade in VCR mode but you're trying to program it as a SAT code? Was the upgrade formatted for a different remote, possibly one that uses a different type of protocol upgrade? The list goes on. _________________ Rob
