Using panasonic PV-D4743; Using DVD code 0677; most of the panasonic VCR codes work partially as well. The remote controls the power, play, ff, rewind for the DVD, but I cannot teach it to use the arrow keys to navigate thru the DVD menus! - there are no printed codes in the manual for DVD/VCR combos.

You need to provide a lot more info if you want help. What kind of DVD/VCR combo is it? What code allows you to use the power, play, rewind, et cetera buttons.

No matter what the device is a JP1 cable will allow you to create an upgrade that is exactly what you want. Check the Market Place forum for vendors who sell premade cables and kits for those handy with a soldering iron.

Also, please state the model number of the remote you are using. There are two 6 in 1 Kameleons, the European "One For All" URC-8060 and the American "Radio Shack" 15-2133.
