Hey that's it! All those codes seem to work. I searched over at Remote Central and downloaded everything I could find. I guess I was searching in the wrong place.

So how can I make a bin file out of that *.ccf? Can you create a RemoteMaster file for me to play with?

Thanks,
Fz

I'll need to create a custom executor for you first as we haven't seen that protocol before. Watch this space.

I must say you know your IR, very well done! I have not tried yet but the ability to change the address is nice.

So how do I figure out the EFC, OBC, HEX values if I want to go to button 48? I thought it would be obvious but I couldn't come up with a pattern.

Many Many Thanks,

I just created a quickie spreadsheet where you can enter the Creston code info and it will spit out the JP1 code info:

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6517

Both of the files for this model (ie, the one that I found at Remote Central, and the "All In One" file that you posted) only have buttons that go up to 30, so I can only guess to the format for buttons higher than that.

If you are successful in creating buttons 32 and above, please let me know. If button 32 doesn't work, try adding 8 to the "true obc" code in this spreadsheet and see if that works. If it does, it means there's another embedded zero that I need to take care of.

You said earlier that you could capture the signals using your Creston learner and have it spit out Creston hex codes. If you could give me the creston hex codes for several button samples, using different buttons from different panels, that would help me see how Creston views the codes. Do you know of any way to get the fixed part of the signal to be different?

Not quite sure how to use the spread sheet. Should the #NAME? field get filled in automatically when I change the fixed binary or true obc?

The Crestron will support up to 48 buttons on a single address as long as we can figure out what those buttons should be.

See https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6518 for a screen shot of the Crestron IR driver. At the top of the driver are the Crestron_cnx learned signals and on the bottom are the ccf_engo signals. It would be great to figure out how to convert the crestron drivers. I have been collecting them for years and I have just about every device imaginable.

The #NAME thing means that you don't have the Analysis Toolpak installed (go to Tools > Addins).

I'll look at the CRC codes from Creston and see if I can match them up to the real codes.

I have just updated the RM file to includes buttons all the way up to 48 using what I guess will be the OBCs, but I can't be certain that the OBCs are correct.

I tried using the new commands and unfortunately they did not work. The receiver blinks so its within the freq range but the crestron does not recognize it as a valid ID or Channel. Have you had any luck with Converting the Crestron CRCs? I learned buttons 31-48 and I can post a screen shot of the additional commands.

Many Thanks,

I couldn't find any relationship between the CRCs and the real codes.

Hi everyone,

I have been experimenting with the "Creston CNIRGW series1 IR receiver.rmdu" file posted by Rob and I have some further information and a request.

I have determined some additional Device 2 codes for additional button sets. I have posted them to https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7624

The CNIRGW supports only 30 buttons per button set (IRID) so BUT31-BUT48 do not work.

The Slingbox rdf (PL version) I am using supports 81 buttons so I would like to have a combo rmdu file that would support 3 devices for a total of 90 functions.

I have looked at combo file "Relook 400 WStreamZap Combo.rmdu" https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7550 and I think the same technique might work, 6 bits for the function and 2 bits for the device ID. Bear in mind that I am new at this so I may be totally wrong.

I should be able to code the functions in the combo rmdu but I don't know how to write the executor. So, if someone could write the executor for me and make a skeleton rmdu or help me write it, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
John

After doing some research, I have written the assembler code and constructed an rmdu file that supports multiple CNIRGW IRIDs (devices) for the PL version of the Slingbox.

After I do some additional testing, I can post it. Is this the correct location?

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... &cat_id=15

Do I need approval to post there?

Thanks,
John

Yes and no. Yes it's the right location and no, you don't need approval.

Congrats, btw.
