Post by DavidEC2955 »

Has anybody here used any of the "LazyBoy" Touch Screen Remotes that claim to have ONLINE USB programing?

Hi David, are you still looking for a remote? I thought you were going for the Harmony. I thought the reviews of the LazyBoy at Amazon were pretty negative. The people that gave it 5 stars all sounded like this was their first universal remotes. The people that went negative had very specific complaints.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Can't help you on the LazyBoy remotes. But I sure would appreciate it if you would learn a couple of keys from the Insignia NS-BDLIVE01, and post the protocol and device number(s).

There's anumber of people in cyberspace who have these players, have UEI non-learning remotes, and would probably be willing to do some EFC searching. But that's tough to do unless one starts with the right protocol!

Thanks

I currently own a Harmony 880 which I got three years ago when Logitech had a recall due to a bad charging base which they then could not sell these repackaged devices as new... I picked this ''factory renewed'' one in a white box direct from 'Logitech' for.. $89.00

I have a Harmony 688 that was shipped from an eBay Hong Kong seller/exporter on 11/16/09.. {Find it funny some times I can get orders from like resellers in less than five days and other times it can take 30+ days for delivery and all have used air mail w/tacking postage}

But due to ''Black Friday'' sales I am now in need of a total of four replacement remotes due to new hardware {LCD's and BluRays for wife's sewing room and Bedroom} where I can not find working codes in any of my current JP1 remotes... So have to load codes for every device in the room:

DirecTV HD+DVR's not set to the ""base"" setting, LCD, BluRay, VHS, A/V receiver, X-10 ''IR'' codes... Six Devices ...per-room and then one more device which could do: Two = DirecTV HD+DVR's not set to the ""base"" setting, LCD, BluRay, HD-DVD, [tuner-less]DVD+R/RW Recorder, SDTV Converter Box {So I can record local LP-DTV Stations}, VHS, A/V receiver, X-10 ''IR'' codes, HDMI Switch... Ten Devices

And was looking for something very low cost where the codes could be updated...

I just think that 'One-4-All' had some great JP1 products which if they only followed through with them! and maybe even moved these devices to work with USB and had greater or fully user programmable memory.... They would be the hottest rated remotes on the market.

I would love to.. but it seems that a few key presses are not being read by my current JP1 remotes... But I was having troubles with memory and low battery when I last tried and got frustrated and gave up.. then I was in an auto accident and really just have not been in the mood to try for the last few weeks..
