Digifusion digital video recorder - model FVRT90

Post by suemarsh »

re: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5885

I am trying to control my Digifusion FVRT 90 remotely via a Slingbox, but the Digifusion IR code is not listed in the Slingbox software package, and I have been unable to find the code anywhere on the internet. My understanding was that most devices have a four digit code. eg 7544.

Slingbox Media have been unable to help with a code and have suggested either not using the remote control function of the Slingbox, or buying a new DVR.

Digifusion were also unable to help - when I contacted them direct, they said "there is no code". If this is correct, then how does the remote control unit communicate with the DVR?

I have however just found the code (obviously much longer than just four digits) that you have posted for the FVRT 90, and the question is whether this could be used in some way to program the Slingbox?

I am completely new to Slingbox and JP-1, and I should be most grateful for any advice that anyone can offer.

You would use RM to load in the file posted by dsarens, change the remote type to UEI Slingbox JU or PL or PK or RV. Arrange the buttons as you like and then export into a Slingbox BIN file. You then take your Slingbox BIN file and insert it into the slingbox remote control directory.

I am really thrilled - my Slingbox is working remotely with the DVR and I could not be more pleased about it.

Could I just say a huge thank you to binky 123 and to dsarens - I am very grateful. It took hours, as I am new to all this, but it was definitely worth it in the end.

Thanks again.

Thanks to suemarsh and binky123 for their help. I followed this and got it working.

I've posted the files that I created for use with the Digifusion and Slingbox on this link:

so anyone else can get hold of them easily.

Great to hear that your Slingbox is up and running. I would never have managed to get mine working without help from users of this forum.
