I've encountered a weird problem in Remote Master (1.98-beta4, running under Linux) whereby I cannot get it to shut down (with either the window manager's "X" in the upper right corner or the "File", "Exit" selection).

To duplicate it, load a device upgrade for which there is no RDF. When the error dialog comes up with the list of alternate remotes to select from, click "Cancel" to close the dialog. At that point, you should be unable to shut down RM. I had to manually kill the Java process from a command line.

Bug in RM? Quirk in Java? Other? Advice appreciated....

Probably just a bug. I'll look into it.

I only did cursory testing, but this problem seems to have gone away in v1.98beta6, possibly as early as 1.98beta5. I don't know if this fix was intentional or accidental Wink but the problem seems to be gone now so I think we can consider this a closed issue.
