OK great, I managed to get this working with the helper; again thx for your help, you did confirm my mind was not playing tricks on me...

I'd really like to get this working on the combiner, so if you get feedback from Greg, please keep me posted ;)

Greg just poste RM 1.98.6 BETA, which seems to fix the Device Combiner problems I was having. If you are still hot to do this with the device combiner, you can.
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Thx Vicky, could you either send me your RM+IR files or guide me on how to input the correct data ? Unfortunately my upgrade works for the JVC48 protocol but other keys don't

here's what I did:

Under the "device combiner" tab, I've entering the following

my two other protocols as usual (JVC 163 & 175)
for the JVC-48, I have used the "manual settings"
protocol ID : 01 FF
fixed data : 91 3F 7F BB D5

Then I copied the combo device code in IR + protocol upgrade 0144 and 01ff (from my old helper RM file)

Thx

Hmm, it looks like there is still a problem with the deviceCombiner in RM. Its changing the JVC devices when its saved. Open this file and Edit the 2 JVC devices to be JVC 163 and JVC 175, and all should be well.

Thx Vicky, this works; however, like you mentioned the devices must be manually reentered every time you open the RM file. I guess you already advised the team for a future upgrade.

PS: I'd like to share approx. 15 new upgrades I've built for my devices. Can I just zip them and post somewhere? Let me know how I should proceed.

Thx again for spending time on this problem, hopefully someone else will benefit from this.
Have a good weekend,

Have a good weekend,
Sharing upgrades is important.

DO NOT zip them all 15 upgrades together. Post each upgrade to its proper device type in the files section. Make sure to include model numbers and such so that we can find them with a files search.

Edit:
However you should zip the helper upgrade with this device/combiner upgrade so that the next user has the protocol and device information.
