Hi
I have created an RM file based on the excellent work of Alan Richey.
I have built the binary using RM 1.97 with the new map files for Slingbox.
I am using Slingplayer 2.0.4.521
I have mapped all of the functions on the Humax remote.
List is on the Last key
Back is on the Enter Key
Text is in the white key
Volume is on page +/-
The problem I have is that the exit key is greyed out in the on screen remote. Can anyone advise what is wrong please.
Both files are in the diagnostics section:

Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew
I suspect you are using the 'official' Slingbox RDF files ? and they do contain a bug that blocks some buttons.
Try using the revised ones I built at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=7201
Let me know if that doesn't help.
Cheers
Al

Further to this, I just remembered that the first set of RDF files I uploaded had a typo in that caused the Exit button to be disabled in the RV file. So you need to get the latest copy.
You can tell if it is correct by looking at the last entry in the Buttons tab for the RV file. It will be 'exit', but the broken version has an asterix against it showing it is not defined.
Sorry about that.

Hi Al
Thanks for the swift response.
I did wonder if the * was significant.
I only downloaded the files last night, but have just done so again (from the above link) to make sure I had the right versions, but the * is still there for the RV version.
As a slight aside, botin both the PL and RV versions the keys either side of the record button aren't available for proramming.
Cheers

OK, I think the 'old' RDF file is somehow attached to your RMDU file. Try opening up Remotemaster and checking the Exit* before you load your RMDU. If it isn't there that is the answer. If the * is there on a empty file then PM me your e-mail address and I will send a fixed RDF file.
In the empty on is OK then open up the old RMDU file in a new RM session in a separate window and build a new copy on the correct version. You can 'cut & paste' all the columns in the Function screen, if you use Auto-Assign in the Buttons tab it only takes a few seconds to do it.
And I have a bug report in with Slingmedia concerning this buttons as that is their fault not the RDF or Remotemaster.

OK, found the error. If you look in the RV RDF file you will see the code for 'Exit' is 37 (&25). In the [Button Maps] section the maps for DVD, SAT & Cable all have &25 in, but the VCR one doesn't. Turns out is has $24 instead which is the code for 'Cancel'
So in the [Button Map] section for code '02' replace the &24 with &25 and everything works OK.
Alternatively I've updated the package on the Slingbox Work Files section you could get it from there.
Thanks for finding the bug.

Thanks for fixing that Al - I think I have finished.
Had the Humax for a few days now and have just decided to look at the instruction manual, then found all of the extra buttons under the sliding panel on the Humax remote!
I have mapped all of these to custom buttons where there wasn't a pre-defined button on the generic sling remote.
One more bit of wierdness is that I programmed the skip+ and skip- buttons but it is the Instant Replay and Quick Skip buttons have been programmed. This is actually the buttons I wanted to program, but as noted above RemoteMaster didn't allow these to be programmed.
I have packed up my files and posted them in the Slingbox section.
Thanks again for your help.
