UEI seems to be providing a small connector opening in the battery compartment of so many of the newer model remotes that I have revised the design of my JP1.2/3 (Flash) interface to incorporate a small connector as standard (no price increase). That means it is no longer necessary to enlarge the opening, modify the IDC connector, or purchase a separate Small Adapter when using one of my newer remotes. The change is effective on all units shipped after 9/20/09.
