Need help for Long duration JVC conversion to S3F3

Post by ElizabethD »

If I were to use an extender in Comcast1067Bx3, I might need this long duration protocol for JVC DVD. Can someone help convert from S3C8 to S3F8? The fourth byte from the end (05 here) is repeats.

Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 34 (S3C8+) PB v3.11
42 8D 11 8B 14 85 59 08 08 01 06 00 F2 01 06 02
FF 2E 24 10 68 08 20 FF 05 8D 01 46
End

This extra info is from the KM setup sheet for manual settings
Protocol ID: 01 34
Fixed Data: 08
Manual Settings
PID: 01 34
2nd Cmd Byte: None
Signal Style: LSB-COMP
Bits/Dev: 8
Bits/Cmd: 8
Using 3rd-Party Protocol Code and PID from Line Notes
(see [Protocol Help] for details)

I'm not sure if to try it in PB.

My understanding is that S3C8+ and S3F8 protocols are identical. See this quote

6805C9
P8/740
6805RC16/18
S3C8/S3C8+
HCS08

The S3F8 IR engine is identical to the S3C8+, and does not include the newer features that were added to the HCS08 engine.

PB only knows what we know about the IR engine. I would estimate our knowledge of it's operation to be about 20-25% of it's total capabilities.
