Hello,

I have tried creating a device to use EFC 008 of protocol 128.4 to change to component 2, but it does not seem to work.

Can somebody confirm that this model ignores 128.4 commands?
(I am not sure if it is the 49 or 51 that I have).

Thanks!

IIUC, either it uses TV_0250 (Panasonic:128.0) EFC 180 for component 1 OR EFC 004 Component 1 and EFC 008 Component 2 with a device upgrade for Panasonic:128.4

Does component 1 work? If so what command on what setup code. If it is TV_0250 (Panasonic:128.0) EFC 180 I don't think there is a component 2 discrete, so use a macro component 1 |Video toggle.

Yes, EFC 180 from device 128.0 works.

I currently use that EFC plus the input cycle for component2.
But I would prefer to have a discrete input.

Component 1 with 128.4 EFC 004 does not work.

I am wondering if the TV just does not care... Smile

Thanks

I used this on from the TV section 53WX52 for my CT-34WX53. The file has codes for Component 1 and 2. The 2 codes that don't work for me are the ones for "Just" and "4:3".

Actually, I'm sure your TV is quite passionate about it, but alas, the engineers didn't program it to be responsive to such an important stimuli.

BTW, I think the new Panasonic LED displays have no discrete inputs at all.

Also, if you use an extender the macro execution time is so fast you won't notice the difference.

I really do think the TV ignores the command. I have used a "1250" update and the only one I was able to use was "Aspect - Full". None of the others.

Thank you very much for your help. With the extenders it is very fast and seemless. It is onlky if I press on the same button that it switches to comp1 then cycles again.

Picky picky picky...

Thanks!

Glad I found this thread.

I have Panny 51hx41 TV. I believe my tv is the widescreen version of the 47wx49. I am pretty sure that the remotes are exactly the same as well.

Have you created an import file for this model or do you simply have all the codes? If you have a file, could you please post it in the JP1 files section (or send it to me)? But if you have codes, could you please post them here so I can use them as well?

Thanks a bunch.

Hey can you guys please tell me where this TV_0250 file for KM is available? I would like to download it and use the power on/off and the component 1/2/etc. codes for macros.

I am a total newbie here and so if you just give me the codes for these functions then I wouldn't know what to do with it. That is why I hope there is a KM file that I could simply use and upload to my remote.

Thanks.

In the Yahoo files there is a device and protocol upgrade that will do the component 1 and 2 inputs for SOME Panasonic TV's. It also has avery complete list of commands:

Oh man how wonderful. I wasn't sure if the 53wx52 codes would work for my tv.

Thanks.

We seldom know whether a device upgrade will work exactly for a particular model (unless we have the same exact model). What we do know is that Panasoinc is pretty consistent in the commands that it uses. Not all models respond to every command, but if it does it is usually the same ones.

Power On and Off
AV Inputs 1 through 4
and all the basic commands are always the same.

Component 1 and 2 can vary a little, but it is either AV Input 4 or the commands in the upgrade file.
