Comcast JP1.3 DVR remote AUX programming issue

My remote will not take any program codes for the AUX button. I have a Yamaha whos code is 0176, but every time I press AUX, Hold Setup until Aux flashes and enter 0 1 7 6, it just sits there. If I press another button I get the long light for AUX. I have two DVR remotes and they are doing the same thing.

Try AUX, Setup for 2 blinks, 9 9 2, AUX, AUX. Then try to program the code again.

reason being : it requires 5 digits the old remotes with the grey select/ok button are 4 digit the new ones with the red/select button are 5 hope this helps
