Target device = Moxi HD DVR.
Target chip = UEI PL or Axum (used on HAVA, similar to SlingBox)

IR 7.14 decodes the protocol just fine.

MCE
Device 8
Subdevice 57
Misc T = 1

Over in Remote Master 1.86, choosing MCE protocol gives me the option to enter

Device
OEM2

Well I put 57 for OEM2 since I couldn't think of what else to do... but the resulting codes from my HAVA (a) don't work, (b) decode as "garbage" through the URC8910/IR combination.

Hints?

Post your IR file, with the learned signals in it, so we can take a look.

No need to reinvent the wheel. There are several Moxi upgrades and slingbox files in the file section.

All of the available Moxi codes apparently are for their older boxes. The latest ones use MCE protocol.

I've posted my IR files here:

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=6747

Basic question though - IR shows Device and Subdevice for MCE protocol. Whereas RM shows Device and OEM2. Does that make any sense?

I also tried fiddling with the RC6-m-32 but also without luck.

I got this info from the guys at Digeo:

http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=6748

Thanks!

DL

I did this exercise again using the most recent software:

IR.exe 8.00

and

RemoteMaster 1.93...

But the end result is the same. Crying or Very sad

***DOOFUS ALERT***
***DOOFUS ALERT***

Hi Kids,

Just reporting back on my sad but exaggerated tale of woe. Turns out that my BIN file works just fine. I was lacking the actual device to test so I was trying to capture the codes from the HAVA IR blaster cable to compare to the original. I guess what's happening is that the HAVA blaster output is quite a bit lower than with a handheld remote (which makes sense as it's supposed to work from 1-2 inches away rather than 15 feet).

So now I can confirm that as far as I can tell, MCE protocol attribute "OEM2" in RM corresponds to "Subdevice" as reported by IR.exe.

Over and out!

I've tried capturing from the Slingbox IR blaster and have never been able to do so, so I understand.

Hey Larry, can you post your RM file for the moxi hd 3012 dvr that you got? I just got mine installed today and I'm trying to set up my slingbox. I guess I need to create a bin.

I did a search and didn't find the file. If I've missed it please link me!

Thanks

Thanks Rob but those are the old MOXI dvr bins right?

I have the new Moxi hd 3012 dvr. I see that Larry posted IR files and possibly the pronto file. I was hoping to get the RM file he made so I could generate a PL slingbox bin.
