Remote Broken???

Post by HkyFrk »

I have a new OFA 8810 that I think might be toast. After I load in the extender (default after install) on any keypress the remote dies. The only way to get the remote to work again is to take out the batteries. Does ayone have any clue what this could be???

Does the extender activate properly, that is do you press TV Power after each and every reset and see the LED blink 4 times?

It activates properly the first time but won't activate again. The LED won't light on any keypress.

Did you follow the instructions for creating and installing the extender file? Your symptoms could indicate a problem with the file. You can upload a copy of the IR file to the Diagnosis folder and someone can take a look at it.

If your remote works fine without the extender, it sounds like the remote is fine and the problem is with the file you are uploading.

I loaded your setup and it seems to be fine. I pressed a bunch of (100+) keys, no issues.

You haven't said whether or not the remote functions without the extender...
