I don't see a setup button. Any connector pins in the battery compartment?

I found the user manual for this device, but it doesn't mention the remote.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/3683366/motor ... 0-receiver

Does the printed manual that came with the receiver not have any info on how to program the remote? What sort of info are you looking for?

I have the programming manual but it doesnt give me full function of the remote
Such as reprogramming the STB device button
Another thing is I can find device codes for what i want but several of the buttons are not in use
With another universal remote i have (Atlas DVR) i can reprogram each button after i set the device code
Id like to find out how to do that with this one

The Atlas lets you re-program individual buttons because it's made by UEI and has the "keymover" function. I assume this remote is not a UEI remote, so it won't have the keymover function. The only other option would be if the remote has learning, you could use that to fill in the blanks, but if it doesn't you're out of luck I'm afraid.

If the remote came with a SAT or CBL box, it's quite possible that the STB button is hard wired to work the box that it came with, which means you can't re-program it. If there are no cable or SAT codes in the manual, that kind of supports that theory.

Yeah i realized that
But i thought if i could learn what Brand and Model it was i might be able to find out for sure
But if it had learning capabilities
Could i program the atlas to do what i want and then learn it to the remote in question
Could that work

You can only teach the Motorola remote if it has learning as a feature, and I doubt that it does.

You'd be much better off programming the Atlas remote to work the Motorola STB.

So to make sure we all know how much money we're talking about.

Here's an ebay listing for 1 Atlas remote for $7.99 with free shipping:

And here's another for 2 Atlas remotes for $10.99 with free shipping:
