15-2133 Extender issue ever resolved?

I agree. Even with the extender, this remote's programming ability will be still limited anyway because of the hardwired EL control.

That part I don't mind so much, after playing some more.. I notice that even
the DSM protocol doesn't even work.. Now THAT hurts! I will try Nils
suggestion of the 8060 extender.. couldn't hurt, and my time is cheap.

Nope the 8060 extender wouldn't even upload to the remote.. Though
that could be due to the fact that the 8060 is a 4k..

Has anyone yet had any success getting the extender to work with the 15-2133? I just tried adding the extender to my 15-2133 and have the exact same lockup problem described in this thread.
