I am looking at some JP1 remotes, and I am wondering - How much memory do I need?
Of the ones I am looking at, they seem to range from 1k to 5k, and I just dont have a grasp as to how much memory I will use.
Basically, I am not looking for a learning remote, just something I can program my devices into via JP1/1.2/1.3 cable.
Thanks for the help

Unless you are planning on doing some really crazy stuff with your remote, even the smallest amount of memory will be more than enough for you to program the remote to control all of your devices.
As for whether you need a learning remote or not, having a learning remote can be really useful if you ever get a device that we haven't seen before because then you can learn the signals and use the learned data to create an upgrade.
