Cisco Explorer 8455DVB

Hi all,

I am a French user of a Cablebox HD from the ISP Numericable, which is in fact a Cisco Explorer 8455DVB.

I have a Slingbox that I'd like to use with the Cisco STB. I have downloaded the KM text file from the post just above, and then used RemoteMaster to export it as a bin file for my Slingbox. The process has created a C1225_RV.bin file (my Slingbox has a RV IR chip revision). I have used RDF file for Slingbox with UEI RV Chip, and map for Slingbox from the file section.

I have put it in the SBAV directory and it is normally recognized by SlingPlayer configuration. But this does not work at all (no power on, no power off, nor any other key).

The same process works fine to handle my other Freebox STB, so I think the hardware works fine.

Did I do anything wrong ?

Been having the same issue as you. Trying to get the Ziggo (Netherlands) STB to work with a Singbox Solo. STB model Explorer 8455DVB.
Turns out that the Slingbox I used is destined for the US market, and does not support the European STB version that I needed.
Will try to get a hardware swap, cause currently I can only see the pictures but not remote control the box.

Did you check out file section to see if we have an upgrade for your STB? Just FYI, even if a Slingbox is destined for the US market, there's no reason that you can't add an upgrade for a European device.

Hi all,

Now, I've also got a Slingbox PRO HD and the issue is the same.
Neither the European Slingbox PRO nor the American Slingbox PRO HD work with the process I have described in my first post.

If someone finds a solution for this STB, I will thank him/her very much.

PS: Rob, I had used the upgrade you posted (https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=5688) but in vain, as you could read in my initial post.
