Radio Shack 15-13x Extender

Post by unclemiltie »

I've just uploaded V1.10 of the extender for the 15-13x remotes here:

This version includes:

- Full support for IR 8 including IR version display, setup code checking and pause values
- bug fix on macro searching that caused odd errors
- new feature that enables long-press of setup to deactivate the extender

Edit: updated to V1.12

fix bug in LDKP processing in all JP1.3 extenders

Do we need to do anything special (like deactivate before/reactivate after) when switching over from the beta?

A bunch of keys were moved around, I would deactivate and then build from a 981 reset.

You may get lucky if you just replace the extender, but I did no testing and some of the macros/keys, etc will look strange

You'll also need the latest MAPS for this release. Older version didn't work properly with the xshift version of the extender.

Updated distribution:

As of 4:11EST on 1/2, the distribution linked in the base topic now includes daves maps and images. The Readme has been updated to reflect this.

Thanks dave

Slight update, no changes to the extender but a couple of small changes to the RDF to fix some key binding bugs.

V1.01 has replaced V1.00

I've built a new version of the extender but have not had time to test it. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll send it to you for testing.

This version has:

long press setup to deactivate

IR8 setup code validation
IR8 extender version display

This version requires IR 8, beta 9 at least

If I can get some testers then I'll be able to release this sooner, otherwise it'll have to wait until I get through all of the stuff that I'm working on including rebuilds of all of the JP1.3 remotes

The validation thing seemed to work for me without modification, except that when I first built the extended IR file from the original IR file all the device codes reset to 0000 even though there were device codes in the original file.

I didn't discover any problems rebuilding my remote using the non-xshift version. I don't have a very complicated setup, only a few LKP/DKP but so far so good. I didn't try the long-press deactivate yet which I suppose is the main purpose of the test. :)

This fixes the FAV bug that Liz found on the Atlas and was present on all JP1.3 extenders written by me.
