From Device to KM

I have a urc7560.
I have download from OFA support the device for CyberHome DVD 405:

Now I want to load it to Keymap Master to add more functions:

How i can do it?

If you select that device upgrade within IR.EXE's devices tab, it will show you the EFC for each key. You can copy those (one at a time, unfortunately) to the functions sheet of KM or RM.

IR doesn't show you the protocol or device numbers. It is NEC1 protocol, device 0, no subdevice.

It's strange that it is so different from all the CyberHome DVD upgrades in the DVD folder. Also, I have no data on any DVD from RemoteCentral using device 0 with no subdevice (several use device 0 with subdevice 153). But if that upgrade from OFA works at all then its protocol and device data must match your DVD.

If I insert NEC1 protocol, device 0, no subdevice and some keys, the result is
Upgrade Code 0 = 23 6A (DVD/0874)

Why that differences? (fixed data from 00 ff 00 to 00 FF FF etc?)

The third byte of fixed data in the NEC protocol often has no significance (a bit in the first byte determines whether the third byte is significant). When it is not significant, KM sets it equal to the second byte. Upgrades from OFA sometimes set it equal to the second byte when it isn't significant and sometimes set it equal to FF minus the second byte.

(In other words don't worry that the fixed data doesn't match).

The F0 79 part of the above is a bitmask of which keys are included in the upgrade. If you had defined exactly the same set of keys in your upgrade as in the OFA upgrade that would have matched.

Funnily enough, I downloaded a KM file for a Norcent DVD player and this one appears to use NEC1, device code 0 (no sub).

The reason I say "appears" is because the device codes fields were left blank, and as you know, NEC1 is the default protocol, so I'm not 100% sure the user didn't just forget to fill in these details.

I've sent him an email asking for a confirmation because I want to use this upgrade to program a remote for someone.

I was careless when I scanned my library of downloaded IR signals. I do in fact have data for a "Dantax DVD Pro-9000" which uses NEC1 device 0, no subdevice.
