1. Device: Toshiba Integrated Digital AV Amplifier Model XB-1000
2. Type of device: Audio Amp
3. Year: 1988 - 1990
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: UEI - Atlas 5 (DVR) 1055, UEI - Millennnium 4
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No (I'll get/make one if I can find the codes)
6. Still have original remote? No (Toshiba Remote RM-1000XBA, PN# 22120200) (no luck finding on internet)
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? n/a
I know this this is probably "too old / wierd" to bother with but I just love this unit, I have other receivers here but I really
want to get this one working, at least power on/off and volume
If I could find an original remote to copy I'd buy it / borrow it and upload the file for your library.
I have tried all the setup codes shipped with the remote(s) (Audio - Toshiba and Panasonic) with no luck.
A search of HiFi-Remote turned up the following info for the original remote "RM-1000XBA" (under VCR's not Audio), tried it, no luck
[Models.VCR]
Toshiba RM1000XBA=Brand:Toshiba,
Name:RM1000XBA| SV970| SVF990| V83| VC220T| VC221T| VC22| VC23B| VC42B| VC42P| VC447T| VC448T| VC454| VC51B| VC51S| VC624| VC641TA| VC65| VC668| VC70B,
Code:V0045, Digits:1

I tried Audio 0135 on both the Atlas 5 (DVR) and Millennnium 4 with no luck
I'll make sure I'm getting pulses out of the IR Rx module in the Amp later today.
IR Rx module in amp is Toshiba SBX-1483-52
Micro controler in in Amp is a Toshiba 47C860 (8031 derivative?)
I'm an Electronics Hardware/Software Developer with a lot of experience so don't spare any details.
I have built a few custom IR TX/RX remote controls with embedded processors (MicroChip, Intel, Motorola etc.).
I have reverse engineered IR carrier frequencys, Protocalls, strings.
I have some extra IR modules around if anyone is interested.

If you don't want to get a JP1 cable, you might be able to start with code VCR/0045 (note the VCR device code, not Audio). The file you link to seem to indicate that code ("Code:V0045"), and the amp upgrade file that vicky linked to is using the same protocol. You will have to add some functions using advanced codes, but some of the functions might work, like the power key. |

I've just received the data on this amp from UEI, it uses an old code called AUDIO/0353 which is in very few remotes, and there aren't any similar codes in the Atlas or Mil4 that you can try, so you would need a JP1 cable in order to load this code into your Mil4, or a JP1.2 cable in order to load it into your Atlas 5.
