I have searched the posts, not finding another similar to my situation. When learning, I hit the button on the 8811 that I want to map, it does the fast blinky thing, I hit the key on the original remote, and the 8811 just blinks once, kinda slow. It should have blinked twice to show it recieved the input. Have had no other problems, and learned other original remotes just fine. The problem remote is for a Panasonic reciever SA-HE57. Any clues? Also, if I use the 981 code to clear, will it clear all devices, or can I clear just the device I want to? |

That is exactly the symptom you get if learning memory is full, but I'm sure there are other possible causes.
The 981 reset does clear everything stored in the eeprom.
If you have a JP1 cable, you can easily backup the eeprom contents, so the 981 reset won't be a serious loss. You also can view the existing learned signals and see whether learning memory is full. |

I have a JP1 cable on its way, so I'm just doing the learning stuff 'the old fashioned way'. It may be a memory full kind of thing, I learned an entire remote, because I couldn't find codes for a uswest cable box.
If that is the case, I hope I can consolidate stuff once the JP1 cable gets here.
Thanks J.S.F.
