Philips TV descrete input selection

Post by evan »

I have an 8910 and an Atlas OCAP 1056 remote. I have successfully got the multi-byte upgrade to work on the 8910 but cannot get either to work in the Atlas.

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4834

All I'm interested in the upgrade is the ability to select the HDMI1 and HDMI2 inputs without having to scroll through the source list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Someone just asked my about this via PM as well... Why not use the single byte version? It is functionally equivalent, it just uses some 'dummy' upgrades for the commands that use RC5 instead of using the special RC-5/5a combo protocol.

If you really want to use the multi-byte version (assuming the OCAP remote supports multi-byte and has the protocol) you will need to find another built-in code that uses the upgrade and change the 'setup code' in 'external functions' to said code.

[EDIT] disregard - Evan found that code 1189 on the OCAP remote uses the RC5/5a protocol.

Thanks for the reply xnappo. (Forgot to reply here as well  )

For some reason, I could not get the single byte code to work. Uploaded all the dummy device codes but it would not function. Who knows, I probably did SOMETHING wrong.

It's working great with the multi so I'm happy. :D
