Jim,
I have two of these, one I was going to program tonight for a friend with digital cable. I didn't realize the four device remotes weren't supported. I just looked and it has a jp1 connector. I didn't open it to find out about EEPROM or processor. So if I do a virgin upload tonight, post or send the data, what is involved in getting support for these puppies?
Thanks in advance.
Jim
The "Atlas" remote that isn't supported doesn't have an EEPROM on board and can't be programmed using the current JP1 tools, so you won't be able to do a "virgin upload" or post any data because you won't be able to communicate with the remote.
As for what's involved in setting support for this remote, we need someone to take a look at the SST 65P542R - MCU Manual and let us know what's required to read and write to it.

I took it apart. This remote has an EEPROM, a six pin connector, and uses an S3C80 processor (says right on it). It also is printed with "URC-4AXXXB00 REV1.0 020522" I communicated with it with the latest IR and downloaded from the remote it's raw data. Does anyone want me to post it? With that, what can be done to support this?
Thanks.
Jim
Cool, we can make that remote work. Please post your IR dump in the Diagnosis Area. In the file description, please state what setup code is programmed to each device button. If you don't know, use 990 to blink back the codes or program known codes from the manual to each button. That will help us determine what's what.

Rob,
Sure, I can post that. I posted it in the Yahoo Files section in the RDF Files folder. The manual says that the default codes are Scientific Atlanta cable box, RCA TV, RCA VCR, and Pioneer audio receiver. Blinking them back, I get TV 0047, VCR 0060, CBL 0877, AUD 1023.
