It appears that they simply re-labelled the CH and VOL buttons without changing the programming, so if you were to treat this remote as a multi-device remote, the VPT feature would actually lock the CH+, CH- and DOT buttons (rather than the VOL+, VOL- and MUTE buttons).

UEI sent me the list of EFCs for this device, which I was able to use to modify the ReplayTV (version 1) RDF with the Velodyne button names. There are some functions, that are not on the UEI list, that are assigned to non-existant buttons, so I don't know what those are for.

Here's the new RDF for the Velodyne SMS-1 remote:

I've also created a KM upgrade in case you want to program another remote to work the Velodyne SMS-1

Good work Rob. I'll give these a try in the next few days. I do want to use the KM upgrade to program the Velo functions into an 8910.

thanks again,
Rich

Rob,
I tried the file you created (Velodyme SMS-1) for my RCU810, and when I press a button on the remote, it freezes up (displays the signal button), and I have to take out the batteries to reset the remote. What might be causing this? I just manipulated the file via RM.

Thanks,
Dan
