URC 8206 power socket control?

Ive recently bought the URC 8206 one for all universal remote control:

and i wondered if it can be adjusted to work for other non-compatible IR remotes like one of these:

I dont use the VCR button and would like to adjust this button to work with the power socket remote control, if possible.

Are you sure that these power sockets respond to IR and not to RF? Some remote-control power sockets are Radio-Frequency and not IR. They're more functional that way as they can be out of line-of-sight and still work. If this is the case then your 8206 won't be able to work them.

If they are IR:
Try learning some signals from the original remote to your 8206 and see if it works. Even if you haven't yet purchased the power plugs I'm sure you can persuade someone in a store to let you try (even if you do intend to order them online).

okay so ill have to look for sockets with IR and not RF.
And if i find one ill just have to do the learn fuction, i hoped that would work.
