For a while I thought there was a high-school project going on seeing who could wind up forum members the most:
The posts of newone on this forum,
and on another forum,
and here,
and in a later guise as electronics_field.
And is the style of any of these posts familiar?
Winning friends on this forum (not),
Help me avoid having to RTFM here,
And does the use of punctuation and the good grammar here remind you of someone?

Aww, this thread reminds me about, "The Chronicles of George"

The Chronicle of George wrote:This web site is a collection of helpdesk tickets gleaned from the support database of my first IT job. I was employed there for twenty months, and during that time I had the misfortune of encountering an individual whom I will call George.
George is, quite simply, the worst helpdesk technician ever.
His grasp on the written word is shakier than a canoe full of epileptics. His knowledge of computers is thinner than a Vegas dancer's chiffon underpants. He is, by all standards of intelligence, a rock.
While we worked together, George was responsible for turning out some of the most mangled, garbled, and just plain screwed up help desk tickets ever before seen by mortal man. I have taken these tickets and collected them, and I present them to you as a cathartic expression, a venting of fourteen months' pain and frustration (George's employ and my own overlapped by that amount of time).
Mean? Perhaps. Spiteful? Probably. Funny? Oh, most definitely.

Well, to be fair to "George", English is obviously not his first language. Still, the phrase:
"she is getting error message that say undeliverable messages, her hole area cannot send external emails"
and the comment:
"Oh, man. This one gets my vote for "Best George Ticket of All Time". My hole area can't send e-mails either, but I don't consider that a problem. Perhaps I'm just different".
are, IMHO, quite funny.

Did you by chance see the FAQ?underquark wrote:Well, to be fair to "George", English is obviously not his first language.
FAQ wrote:It's obvious George doesn't natively speak English. Shame on you for making fun of someone just because he can't speak the language!
I assure you, George is a native English speaker. He is 100% American. He was born and has for his entire life lived in Houston, TX.
