I have read a thread about the subject but I left none the wiser. It refers ta an 'upgrade', all I have is the download from the remote and a few changes after that.

I click on 'Devices', but that window is empty.

An alternative is to click on 'Cancel', I can't see no Cancel button in IR?

I believe questions about how to get data from IR into RM has been answered before so I guess I rather should read all that I can find on the forum and someday I may see the light.

Another fellow here in Norway is struggling with the same problem and while he is a young student (of automation) and I am an old fart, none of us can find our way out of this problem.

That indicates there are no upgrades in your remote.

Probably a reference to the Add or Edit dialog box.

You can take an upgrade device from IR and import it into RM. However, since you don't have any upgrades, there's nothing you can import into RM.

Now having said what Mark said the option left to you is to move data from RM or KM to IR. You can open an upgrade that already exists or create one in RM. You can then set the functions on the buttons of your choice then move it to IR and upload it to your remote.

Another thing is many people think you can access the built-in setup codes using IR. Not true since they reside in ROM and the JP1 tools can only read the EEPROM contents.
