I have a Lasko column fan with a flimsy little IR remote. Signals are learnable on my 2116, but don't decode as anything in IR502. They seem pretty simple, but what do I know. Smile

It only has 4 buttons (don't remember which of these does which, but I can provide that information if it's helpful)

All data below appears in the "Sent Repeatedly While Key is Behing Held" section. "Sent Once When Key is Pressed" and "Sent Once Upon Completion of Other Bursts" are both empty.

Frequency 37914

Is it possible some enterprising person can turn this into a protocol/upgrade?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

End

Upgrade Protocol 0 = 01 91 (S3C8+)

Smile

I did open my mouth, didn't I?

That worked like a charm, thank you very much. PayPal is in the mail!

Hey Adam,
Could you confirm what each of the 4 codes you posted actually do (and how the original buttons are labelled) so we can make an official upgrade for this.

Sure. As they are assigned in the KM file that Jon posted:

1 - Power on/off
2 - Oscillate on/off
3 - Fan Speed
4 - Timer

They are labeled with some goofy icons on the original remote. Smile

I'd like to add an upgrade for a Lasko Heater to a JP1.2 Comcast 1067.

The learned signals are in this file.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=5174

Here is some work done by the late Jon Armstrong, but the files in the links don't exist.
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2358&highlight=lasko

I'd love to learn how to do this, but for some reason this seems to be just outside my grasp.

See if this works. It is just a quick HCS08 port of Jon Armstrong's S3C8 work & I did not have time to test it.
Code:
Upgrade protocol 0 = 01 91 (HCS08) PB v4.01 beta 03
 20 17 1F 4B 11 C5 11 06 06 02 79 00 D5 00 D5 02
 79 34 E3 FF FF FF FF FF 03 CC FF 5F
End

The file linked in the old post has been moved to the JP1 files section here.
